Testimonials

Susan recently completed a book for my personal history client and exceeded our expectations. The design was beautiful and modern, and the pictures edited to be their best. She worked tirelessly to get the perfect design that matched the client's expectations and the personality of the subject of the book. The professionalism and knowledge of book design and publishing process that she brought to the project was invaluable. I highly recommend Susan and look forward to working with her again.

Fred Gottesman: A Portrait of Strength, Kindness, and Generosity

Susan, you have done a superb job from the beginning of the book to the end. I was so moved by your work—the extraordinary effort you took to work through all the different variations of colors, frames, and backgrounds, as well as the explanation of the color of the book’s title, the spine and the title of the sepia print. But—even more than all of the above—for your integrity to the design and for your dedication to make the total design of my book the very best.

Walking in Their Footsteps

I recommended Susan to be the designer for a huge personal history project. It was a complicated text with subheads, footnotes, family trees, portfolios, and historical documents. We worked together on the project for more than two years. The results were phenomenal. When you recommend someone for a project, you put your own reputation on the line as well. I would welcome the opportunity to recommend Susan again and again!

I’m so impressed with Susan's beautiful work. It’s a visual feast—exciting and elegant—but never overwhelms the content.

Changing Looks—Changing Lives

Working with Susan to produce my book was a real pleasure. She explained my options, offered opinions when I asked, and led me through the whole process seamlessly. The result was exactly what I had hoped for. Susan is on the top of my book design contacts list.

Consequence of War

When I first started working with Susan, I had no idea about the process of designing a book, and was pretty nervous about it. Susan was so easy to talk to, she allayed my fears, and when I saw the pdfs, I was thrilled. She is a pro, and a pleasure to work with.

The Horse I Belong To

Susan recently assembled a small book of photographs for me of some of my favorite toys and books when I was growing up. I hadn't thought of the book's design needing to be anything in particular, but as I went through the process with her I could see that it was actually an opportunity to make the book as special as possible. The fonts chosen and the design for the cover, title page, introduction, and photo captions all enhance the pictures and make this little volume an even more important book to me.
